North Yorkshire

North Yorkshire is the largest county in England, and it boasts wonderful countryside ranging from bleak, rugged, windswept landscapes of the North York Moors to picturesque hills, valleys, and rivers of the Yorkshire Dales. Sentry Circle is conveniently located near to the beautiful Moorland Village of Osmotherley, on one of the Counties finest Routes the A684 which will carry you West all the way through the Yorkshire Dales and on into the Lake District.

The National Trust Local Attractions have a varied selection of walks and historical buildings to explore including many of the Abbey’s and Priories which helped shape everything from farming to Wensleydale Cheese making in North Yorkshire, made famous in the Wallace and Grommit animations. Near to the Wensleydale Creamery you’ll also find the legendary Black Sheep Brewery where internationally recognised Craft Beers are made.

Local Amenities

Brompton

Brompton : for the nearest local pub and shop. The Village Inn serves food and is just over half a mile away and within walking distance.( along a narrow footpath) Brompton Shop/Newsagents is further through the village , at just over a mile away . Brompton is the agreed location of the Battle of the Standard in 1138 on land just north-west of the village. This site was also where local militia gathered prior to the campaign to retake Scotland by Edward I in 1303. St Thomas Church in the village is home to the largest collection of Hogbacks in the United Kingdom .

Northallerton

Northallerton: Seated in Herriot Country , Northallerton is a traditional Yorkshire market town with a busy market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Home to world famous Bettys tea rooms and Joe Cornish galleries , alongside independent local business including Barkers Department Store and Lewis and Cooper delicatessen. For food to eat in, there are a variety of pubs cafes and coffee shops, and if you fancy a dip in the pool , Northallerton is home to the local leisure pool.
